Chennai Super Kings have appointed former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan as their new head coach for IPL 2027.
Zaheer replaces Stephen Fleming, who ended his long association with CSK after serving as head coach since 2009.
Zaheer was part of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team and finished that tournament as India’s leading wicket-taker with 21 wickets.
After retirement, Zaheer worked in cricket management, including roles with Mumbai Indians and as a mentor for Lucknow Super Giants.
The appointment marks Zaheer’s first head-coaching role and gives CSK a new leadership setup ahead of the IPL 2027 season.
