The third edition of the International League T20 will kick off on Saturday, January 11 with a blockbuster clash between MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals. Nicholas Pooran-led MI Emirates won their maiden ILT20 title last season and are favourites to repeat the success in this edition as well.
The six-team tournament will run for a month, with each team playing each other twice in the group stage. MI Emirates are the defending champions after defeating David Warner's Dubai Capitals last season.
ILT20 2025 will follow a structured format with a league stage and playoffs. In the league stage, all teams will play each other, and the top four teams based on points will advance to the playoffs.
In the playoffs, the first match is Qualifier 1, where the first-placed team will take on the second-placed team. The winner of this match will advance directly to the final. Next, there is an Eliminator between the third and fourth-placed teams. The losing team in this match is eliminated from the tournament, while the winner advances.
Finally, the Qualifier 2 match will be played between the losing team of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator. The winner of this match will join the winner of Qualifier 1 in the final and compete for the championship.
