Hailing from Haryana, Sunny Singh made his first-class debut in the 2003-04 season. He has also represented the India Under-19 squad. A right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pacer, he was noticed by the Kolkata Knight Riders captain Sourav Ganguly early in 2009, and was immediately selected to play for the IPL, but failed to make his debut due to injury.
