Profile:

Fondly known as Larris by her peers, Laura Harris is one of the most destructive batters in Australia. A dynamic batter, who can change gears very quickly, Laura can be one of the surprise packages from Delhi Capitals at the inaugural Women’s Premier League.

Laura has been a key member of the Brisbane Heat in the Women’s Big Bash League since its inception in the 2015-16 season. She made her debut for Queensland in domestic cricket in the 2016-17 season after showing her talent in the WBBL. Her sister, Grace also plays for Brisbane Heat and Queensland. The two sisters will be up against each other when Delhi Capitals plays the UP Warriorz.

The 32-year-old Laura was a crucial member of the Brisbane Heat team which lift the WBBL titles in back-to-back seasons, 2018–19 and 2019–20. Interestingly, on both occasions, she hit the winning runs for her team. Her exploits also saw her get picked up by Northern Superchargers in The Hundred. In 2022, she also broke the record for the fastest hundred in the Women’s National Cricket League, Australia’s premier domestic 50-overs competition, when she smashed a 50-ball ton.
