WPL Auction 2025: Top 5 unsold players: A total of 19 slots remained to be filled by five teams, who retained most of their players ahead of the auction. Out of the 124 players registered for the auction, more than 60 players were put up for auction to fill the remaining slots.

Sneh Rana- (IND)

Sneh Rana made her WPL debut in 2023 after being picked up by Gujarat Giants for Rs 75 lakh. She was asked to captain the side after regular skipper Beth Mooney was injured. However, her team finished last, winning only two out of eight matches. In the 2024 season, she did not find a place in the playing 11 in most matches and played only four matches overall. Her team finished last for the second consecutive season. In two seasons, Rana scored 46 runs and took six wickets in 12 matches.

Heather Knight - (ENG)

Right-handed batsman and England women's cricket team captain Heather Knight went unsold. Her base price was Rs 50 lakh. Knight led England to the Women's ODI World Cup title in 2017. Knight, who also bowls right-arm off-break, has played 12 Tests, 146 ODIs and 126 T20 matches for the national team. She won the WBBL title with Sydney Thunder in 2020-21. She was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 40 lakh for the first season, but she did not play any match.

Laura Harris - (AUS)

34-year-old Laura Harris was the oldest player in this edition of the mini-auction. Her base price was Rs 10 lakh, but no one could buy her. Laura has played franchise cricket in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL), The Hundred and the Caribbean Premier League.

In the WBBL, Laura has been a member of the Brisbane Heat since the first season in 2015-16 and has won two titles. This season, she scored 159 runs in 11 innings and the Heat finished runners-up. Laura's younger sister Grace has played 11 ODIs and 48 T20 matches for the national team. Grace is with the UP Warriors.

Lauren Bell - (ENG)

England bowler Lauren Bell, whose base price was Rs 30 lakh, also remained unsold. This excellent bowler has the ability to get sharp bounce and move the ball both ways and has proved her excellence in recent times. Bell took her first five-wicket haul in ODIs against New Zealand in July this year.

Humaira Kazi- (IND)

Indian batsman Humaira Kazi, who had a base price of Rs 10 lakh, remained unsold. She was with Mumbai Indians for the last two seasons but did not do much in her time spent there. She scored just 18 runs in 17 matches in two seasons. However, her recent stats paint a different picture. Earlier this year, in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy, 31-year-old Humaira Kazi became the top scorer with 328 runs in 11 matches at an average of 36.44.
