Trevor McMahon Passes Away: Sad news has emerged from the world of New Zealand cricket. Trevor McMahon a former Test cricketer for the Kiwi team and the country's oldest living Test player has passed away at the age of 96. New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has officially confirmed his passing.

Trevor McMahon passed away on March 12. For a long time, he held the distinction of being New Zealand's oldest living Test cricketer. New Zealand Cricket and the Wellington Cricket Association have expressed their deep sorrow over his demise and have extended their condolences to his family.

Born in Wellington on November 8, 1929, Trevor McMahon was a skilled wicketkeeper. He was first selected for the national team for the historic tour of Pakistan and India in 1955-56. He made his Test career debut against Pakistan in Karachi. A total of eight Test matches were played during that tour, in four of which McMahon had the opportunity to feature in the playing XI.

McMahon was part of the Kiwi squad that toured India; however, he did not get the opportunity to take the field against Team India. He played the fifth and final Test match of his career in 1956 against the West Indies at Carisbrook in Dunedin.
