SA vs IND: BCCI is convincing Rohit Sharma to captain T20 in South Africa

After the injury of T20 captain Hardik Pandya, the selectors are left with the only option of making Suryakumar Yadav the captain or convincing Rohit Sharma. Rohit has earlier said that he does not want to play in T-20 but after the way he captained in the ODI World Cup, BCCI is convincing him to captain the T-20.

Rohit Sharma Likely to do Captaincy IND vs SA T20: After the T20 series between India and Australia, Team India has to tour South Africa, where a three-match T20 series is to be played. BCCI can announce the team for this series on Thursday i.e. 30th November.

Due to Hardik Pandya being injured for the last one month, BCCI may convince Rohit Sharma to captain the T20 team again.

Let us tell you that after the defeat in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 last year, Rohit had left the captaincy of T20. In such a situation, for next year's T20 World Cup 2024, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will meet Committee Chairman Ajit Agarkar, in which the roadmap for the World Cup will be prepared.

Meanwhile, a BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity that yes, the question remains as to what will happen when Hardik comes back, but BCCI feels that if Rohit agrees to lead in T20Is, He will lead in the T20 World Cup. If Rohit does not agree then Surya will remain the captain for the T20Is in South Africa.

At the same time, the pair of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are making a comeback in the Test team after a long injury and hence Ajinkya Rahane may be dropped, while Cheteshwar Pujara has very little chance of making a place in the team right now.
