Rajasthan to host Khelo India University Games

The Khelo India University Games 2025 was inaugurated on Tuesday against the historic backdrop of the Amer Fort. The tournament logo, national anthem, torch, mascot and jersey were unveiled. Rajasthan Sports Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore inaugurated the event. He said, "This is not an occasion for a launch, but a launching pad.

Rajasthan to host Khelo India University Games

Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore stated that Rajasthan has been awarded the right to host the Khelo India University Games, which is a matter of pride for the state. The tournament will be held from November 24th to December 5th, 2025. Approximately 7,000 athletes from 200 universities across the country will participate. These games will feature nearly two dozen sports. Four new sports have also been included in the competition for the first time, generating considerable enthusiasm among the athletes.

Logo and anthem decorated in Rajasthani theme

The logo for this year's Khelo India University Games is based entirely on a Rajasthani theme, reflecting Rajasthan's culture, folk art, and traditions. The anthem song, sung by renowned singer Swaroop Khan, also reflects Rajasthan.

The mascots launched at the event symbolize Rajasthan's hospitality and colorful culture. They convey the message of welcoming athletes and guests from across the country with a "Padhaaro Mhare Desh" attitude. The jersey design also reflects the colors and spirit of the Games, showcasing a beautiful blend of Rajasthan's traditional colors.

Khelo India University Games Launching Ceremony

The Amer Fort reverberated with music and culture during the opening ceremony. Rajasthani folk dances and folk songs performed on stage added to the grand atmosphere. Concluding the ceremony, Colonel Rathore said, It is a matter of pride for Rajasthan to host the Khelo India University Games. It is a matter of pride for the entire state of Rajasthan. The government and the people here are eager to extend a warm welcome to the athletes and others from across the country.
