India's star badminton player, PV Sindhu, was stranded at Dubai airport amid the ongoing war between Iran and Israel. She shared an update on her ordeal on social media. Sindhu described the horrific scene, which is worsening every hour. However, she now reports that she is safe.
It should be noted that tensions in the Middle East escalated following US and Israeli military attacks on Iran, leading to the suspension of flight operations at Dubai airport, leaving many passengers stranded. It was reported that PV Sindhu was stranded at Dubai airport for over eight hours.
PV Sindhu described the horrific scene
Sharing a post on the social media platform X, PV Sindhu described the horrific scene. She described how the situation was worsening by the hour. She wrote, This terrible development is continuing and the situation is getting worse by the hour.He further wrote A few hours ago, there was an explosion near the airport where we were hiding. My coach had to immediately run away from the spot as he was closest to the smoke and debris. It was a very stressful and scary moment for all of us.
Continuing her message, PV Sindhu wrote Due to the tireless efforts of the Dubai airport staff and Dubai authorities, we are all safe now and have been moved to a more secure location. Special thanks to the Indian High Commission in Dubai for their incredible support and continued assistance in keeping us safe. For now, we are trying to relax a bit and maintain hope until the situation returns to normal.
It is worth noting that earlier on Sunday night, PV Sindhu had shared a post on an Instagram account, in which she described how she was terrified when everything changed in a short time.
