Under Harmanpreet Kaur's captaincy, the Indian women's team won its first World Cup title by defeating South Africa in Sunday's final. During the meeting, the captain recalled the moment in 2017 when she met PM Modi without the trophy. She congratulated the Indian team.
He praised Team India's impressive comeback in the World Cup after facing three consecutive defeats and social media trolling. India lost to South Africa, England, and Australia in the league stage.
Meeting the Prime Minister, Harmanpreet asked how he always lives in the present. Prime Minister Modi explained that this has become a part of his life and a habit. The Prime Minister also recalled Harleen Deol's catch against England in 2021.
The Indian women's cricket team arrived in Delhi on Tuesday on a special chartered Star Air flight (S5 8328). In Delhi, the players were escorted from the airport to their hotel under tight security. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated them on their victory. All players will return home after meeting with PM Modi.
