The Women's World Cup 2025 will be hosted by Sri Lanka from September 30. A total of 31 matches including the final will be played in this mega event played between 8 teams. The first match will be played between India and Sri Lanka on September 30. Before that, there will be an opening ceremony and a joint press conference, followed by a photoshoot with the team captains. However, Pakistan will not participate in it. Sources told Geo News that neither captain Fatima Sana nor any other representative of Pakistan will come to India to attend the opening ceremony.

The reason for Pakistan not coming is the recently adopted policy, which was implemented by both the countries before the Champions Trophy. Under this, Pakistan and India will not play on each other's soil in ICC tournaments for the next three years. Due to the strained political relations between the two countries, India has not toured Pakistan since 2008. In February this year, Pakistan hosted the Champions Trophy, but India refused to go to Pakistan due to the tense situation. As a result, the Champions Trophy was held in the UAE.

Pakistan's match schedule at Women's World Cup 2025

The Pakistan women's team will play all its matches in this World Cup at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. If the team reaches the semi-finals on October 29 and the final on November 2, both matches will be held in Colombo. Pakistan will start its campaign against Bangladesh on October 2.

Pakistan's women's team qualified for this prestigious tournament by remaining undefeated in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup Qualifier. Pakistan hosted the qualifier and won all five matches to secure a place in the World Cup. India and Pakistan will face each other on October 5.
