Pakistan has announced its 15-member squad for the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Keeping the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind, the selectors have made significant changes to the team.
Senior trio rested, Salman Ali Agha to lead Experienced players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and Haris Rauf have been rested for this series. These four players are currently playing in the Big Bash League (BBL). In their absence, Salman Ali Agha has been appointed captain.
Khawaja Nafay's inclusion and Shadab Khan's return The biggest news of this series is the inclusion of uncapped player Khawaja Nafay. Nafay, who performed brilliantly for Quetta Gladiators, has scored 688 runs in 32 T20 matches at a strike rate of 132.81. Additionally, experienced all-rounder Shadab Khan, who is currently playing for Sydney Thunder, has also returned to the national team.
