New Zealand Cricket News: Veteran New Zealand all-rounder Doug Bracewell has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket after a distinguished 18-year professional career. The 35-year-old made this significant decision considering injuries and age.
Doug Bracewell, a prominent all-rounder for New Zealand, has bid farewell to all formats of the game. Bracewell, who began his journey with Central Districts at the age of 18 in 2008, made his international debut in 2011.
The Historic Hobart Test Victory The most memorable moment of Bracewell's career was the Hobart Test against Australia in 2011. In only his third Test match, he delivered a devastating bowling performance, leading New Zealand to a historic 7-run victory over Australia and earning him the 'Player of the Match' award.
A recurring rib injury kept him out of the current domestic season, and this injury played a significant role in his decision to retire.
Bracewell's Farewell Message In his farewell statement, Bracewell said that playing for his country and Central Districts has been a great honor. He thanked all his teammates, coaches, and management who supported him throughout this long journey.
