Rain then interrupted the match, and due to the Duckworth-Lewis method, India was given a revised target of 96 runs, which they chased down comfortably. The Indian Under-19 team did not get off to a good start, as star batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi was dismissed for just two runs. Vedant Trivedi also managed only two runs. This left India at 21 for two wickets. Captain Ayush Mhatre scored 19 runs. Later, India had hopes pinned on Vihan Malhotra, but he too was dismissed after scoring 18 runs off 17 balls. No American batsman could stay at the crease for long. Nitish Sudhini was the team's top scorer, making 36 runs off 52 balls with the help of four boundaries. Amarendra Gill and Sahil Garg scored 16 runs each, while Adneet Jamb contributed 18 runs. These players helped the team cross the 100-run mark, but the other players couldn't make any significant contributions, and the American team could only manage 107 runs.
