IND vs SA 2nd ODI Live Scorecard: South Africa staged a remarkable comeback in the second ODI in Raipur to level the series 1-1. South Africa made history by chasing 359 runs. They became the second-highest run chase in India after Australia, who achieved this feat in 2019.

Chasing the target, South Africa got off to a poor start. Quinton de Kock was dismissed for just 8 runs. Bavuma and Markram then put on a 101-run partnership to bring the team back on track. Bavuma was dismissed for 46 by Prasidh Krishna, while Markram made 110.

Half-centuries from Betzke and Brevis -

Brevis and Matthew Betzke shared a 92-run partnership. Brevis was dismissed for 54 by Kuldeep Yadav. Then, Prasidh had Betzke trapped LBW for 68. Marco Jansen was dismissed for 2 by Arshdeep Singh.

Tony De Giorgi retired hurt with a hamstring injury. From there, Kerbin Bosch and Keshav Maharaj played patiently to guide the team to a 4-wicket victory.

In the second ODI, South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, India scored 358 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 50 overs, setting South Africa a target of 359 runs.

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal came in to bat for the Indian team. Both got off to a good start, but Rohit lost his wicket in the fifth over. He was dismissed for three consecutive fours. Nandre dismissed him for 14 runs. Yashasvi also got out after scoring 22 runs.

Virat Kohli 53rd Century -

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli opened his account with a six and, along with Ruturaj Gaikwad, put on a 195-run partnership for the third wicket. Gaikwad reached his century off just 77 balls, his first ODI century. Virat reached his century off 90 balls in the 38th over. This was his 53rd ODI century, his first. King Kohli was dismissed by Lungi Ngidi for 102 runs. Washington Sundar was run out for just 1 run.

Captain KL Rahul also scored two consecutive fifties in the match. He scored an unbeaten 66 off 43 balls, while Jadeja remained unbeaten on 24. The two added 69 runs. For South Africa, Lungi Ngidi and Nandre Burger took one wicket each, while Marco Jansen took two.
