Kapil Dev Slams Pakistan Over Handshake Controversy: The India-Pakistan group stage match of the Asia Cup 2025 was high-voltage, as always. India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the match played in Dubai on Sunday. However, the real headlines after the match were made by the Indian players' decision. The Indian team returned to the dressing room without shaking hands with the Pakistani players.
This incident sparked a debate on social media. Pakistan even raised a controversy and complained to the ICC. However, they themselves faced a rebuke from the ICC. Now, legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev has commented on this matter. He advised Pakistan to stay away from these statements and focus on cricket.

Former Indian captain Kapil Dev, reacting to the entire controversy, said that the Pakistani team and players should focus on the game. He said, "These are all small things. The focus should be on playing cricket. If someone doesn't want to shake hands, there's no need to make a big issue out of it. It's not right for either side to make unnecessary statements. Pakistan didn't play good cricket. They should work on their game. Whether someone wants to shake hands or hug is a personal choice."

Kapil Dev praised the Indian team, saying, "The Indian team has been playing very well for the last 20 years. Our cricket is very organized and always performs well in ICC tournaments. I sincerely hope that Team India will win the Asia Cup 2025."
India, bowling first, restricted Pakistan to 127/9. Following the bowlers, the batsmen also performed brilliantly. Captain Suryakumar Yadav and Abhishek Sharma played explosive innings to lead the team to a comfortable victory. This was India's second consecutive victory in the group stage. India and Pakistan will face each other again on September 21st. This match will be played in the Super Four stage.
