India and Pakistan rivalry in cricket (India vs Pakistan) remains arguably the most expected competition of the game even today. Since the announcement of the schedule of the T20 World Cup 2022, there has been a tremendous atmosphere for the clash between the two sides to be held on 23 October. But, just a few days before this blockbuster match (IND vs PAK), a worrying news has come out from Melbourne, in which the threat of rain is looming on Sunday. India and Pakistan are set to start their T20 World Cup campaign at the MCG on Sunday but the match is in danger of being canceled due to bad weather forecast.

According to the Australian Government's Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), there is an 80% chance of rain on Sunday, mostly in the evening.
BOM's website states, "It will be cloudy. High (80%) chance of rain, most likely in the evening. Winds will blow from 15 to 25 km/h southwards in the evening."

Forecast for Friday according to BOM: "Partly cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of rain, most likely in afternoon and evening. Chance of thunderstorm with light winds."
Saturday's forecast according to BOM: "Cloudy to cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of rain, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Light rain with thundershowers likely in the morning and afternoon. Light winds in the morning 15 25 km/h from the south-west. Then in the afternoon it will move towards the south at a speed of 15 to 20 km/h."
Therefore, the situation will make it incredibly difficult for the ground staff to prepare for Sunday's match conditions.
It should also be noted that there is no reserve day for the India-Pakistan match on Sunday. The ICC has kept the option of reserve day for semi-finals and final.
