In their first match of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025, the Indian A team made a strong start to the tournament, defeating the UAE by 143 runs. Batting first, the Indian A team scored 297 runs. The UAE were then bowled out for just 149 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
Indian A captain Jitesh Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Jitesh Sharma batted brilliantly for India. Vaibhav scored 144 runs in 42 balls, hitting 11 fours and 15 sixes. Jitesh Sharma also scored 83 runs in 32 balls, hitting 8 fours and 6 sixes. Naman Dhir contributed 34 runs.
Nehal Wadhera scored 14 runs. It was thanks to these players that the Indian A team managed to post a mammoth total of 297 runs. The UAE bowlers failed to perform well and proved to be a complete failure. Mohammad Farazuddin, Aryan Khan, and Mohammad Irfan took one wicket each for the UAE.
Shoaib Khan top-scored for the UAE against India with 63 runs. Syed Haider scored 20, and Mohammad Irfan scored 26. The other batsmen failed miserably and failed to perform well. As a result, the team was bowled out for 149 runs. Gurjpaneet took the most wickets for the Indian A team, taking three wickets.
