Will Pakistan be the second team to withdraw from the T20 World Cup?
If Pakistan withdraws from the T20 World Cup 2026, it will become the second team to withdraw from the tournament. Will Uganda get a chance to participate in place of Pakistan?
If Pakistan withdraws from the T20 World Cup 2026, Uganda will get a chance to participate. This East African team was part of the 2024 T20 World Cup, but the Ugandan team failed to qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup. According to ICC rules, the highest-ranked team that fails to qualify replaces the withdrawing team. Scotland, ranked 14th, got a chance in place of Bangladesh. Uganda participated in the T20 World Cup for the first time in 2024 and secured one win in their four matches. They defeated Papua New Guinea but lost to Afghanistan, West Indies, and New Zealand. However, Uganda did not qualify for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
