Fast bowler Bilal Sami took 4 wickets for 45 runs in 4 overs, while Mumbai Indians' mystery spinner Allah Ghazanfar took 3 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs, restricting Sri Lanka to 170 for 9. Bangladesh, on the other hand, achieved the target of 170 runs against a weak Hong Kong in just 11 overs.
Bangladesh opener Habibur Rahman Sohan scored a century in 35 balls, hitting 10 sixes and six fours. Captain Akbar Ali hit five consecutive sixes off Kinchit Shah and remained unbeaten on 41 off 13 balls.
