India's ODI captain changed

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced Team India for the Test series against South Africa. Vice-captain Rishabh Pant returns to the squad, while fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and wicketkeeper-batsman N. Jagadeesan have missed out. Pant replaces Jagadeesan, and Akash Deep replaces him. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has once again been left out. The rest of the squad remains the same as the one selected for the Test series against the West Indies. South Africa will play an all-format series on their tour of India. This tour will begin with a Test series. The first Test between India and South Africa will be played in Kolkata from November 14th, and the second Test in Guwahati from November 22nd.

The Test series between India and South Africa A teams is ongoing. Following this, a three-match ODI series will also be played between the two teams. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A team for the ODI series. Before the team's announcement, there was speculation about the new captain. Shubman Gill is the captain of India's ODI team. Shreyas Iyer was appointed captain of India A for the series against Australia, but now Tilak Varma has been given the command of the team against South Africa A.

BCCI changed the ODI captain

Tilak Varma has been appointed captain of the India A team for the ODI series against South Africa. Previously, Shreyas Iyer led the India A team in the match against Australia. However, during the Australia tour, Iyer was injured during the third ODI in Sydney and was admitted to a hospital in Sydney. Shreyas is out of danger but is still recovering from his injury. Iyer will be able to return to the team only after he is fully fit.
