Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur got the World Cup trophy tattooed on her arm just three days after winning the World Cup. Sharing a photo of the tattoo, Harmanpreet wrote about the World Cup trophy, Forever etched on my skin and in my heart. I've waited for you since day one, and now I can see you every morning. It makes me feel good. The significance of the World Cup trophy for Harmanpreet Kaur and Team India can be gauged from the fact that Harmanpreet was in tears after winning the semi-final against Australia. After winning the final against South Africa, Team India lifted the World Cup trophy. India won the Women's World Cup for the first time.
Harmanpreet Kaur had played in four World Cups before this one, and this was her fifth. Harmanpreet Kaur said, "We'd come every time, even reaching the semifinals and finals, but we'd never win the trophy. But this time, Team India has won the 50-over World Cup trophy. With this victory, Harman has now permanently tattooed the trophy on her arm."
