Cheteshwar Pujara Retire: Cheteshwar Pujara, who became famous for being the new wall at number-3 in the Indian Test team after Rahul Dravid, has taken a big decision regarding his career. Pujara has decided to retire from international cricket on Sunday. The right-handed batsman informed about this by writing a post on Instagram.
He has expressed his feelings in this emotional note. Pujara wrote in the post, 'Wearing the Indian jersey, singing the national anthem, and giving my best on the field every time... It is impossible to put into words how special it was, but as the saying goes, every good thing has an end, and with utmost gratitude I announce that I have decided to retire from all formats of Indian cricket.'
Pujara posted on Instagram that wearing the Indian team jersey, singing the national anthem, trying to give his best in every match, these are things that he cannot describe in words. He wrote, "A small boy from Rajkot, along with his parents, aimed to reach the stars and dreamed of becoming a part of the Indian cricket team. I did not know then that this game would give me so much - invaluable opportunities, experience, reason, love and most of all the opportunity to represent my state and country."
He wrote, "Wearing the Indian team jersey, singing the national anthem and giving my best whenever I stepped on the field - all these things are difficult to describe in words. But as it is said, every good thing comes to an end. With full gratitude, I announce my retirement from all formats of Indian cricket."

Pujara played a total of 103 Test matches for India in which he scored 7195 runs at an average of 43.60. During this, 19 centuries and 35 half-centuries came off his bat. He has played five ODIs for India in which he scored only 51 runs. Pujara played his last Test match for India at The Oval in the Test Championship final against Australia in 2023.
