Cricket Australia has inducted its legendary fast bowler into the Hall of Fame, which already includes greats like Don Bradman. Expressing his delight after receiving this honor, Brett Lee said in a statement that bowling at 160 km/h meant more to him than taking any wicket. He added that there's no doubt you have to put your team first.
Among the most significant moments of his career were winning the 2003 World Cup and the period when he won 16 consecutive Test matches. Brett Lee has bowled at speeds exceeding 160 km/h twice in international cricket. The first time he achieved this was during the 2003 ODI World Cup, when Australia was defending a target of 212 runs against Sri Lanka. In that match, the ball with which he dismissed Marvan Atapattu was measured at a speed of 160.1 km/h.
He then set a world record in 2005, bowling at 160.8 km/h in the fifth ODI of the series against New Zealand in Napier. Looking at Brett Lee's career statistics, he took 310 wickets in Tests, 380 wickets in ODIs, and 28 wickets in T20 Internationals.
