Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant played a brilliant innings of 118 runs against RCB in the last league stage match of the season on Tuesday. In this match, he celebrated his century by doing a 'flip', this was a satisfying innings for him because before this, only 151 runs came from his bat in the entire season. After the match, BCCI imposed a huge fine of Rs 30 lakh on captain Pant. While the match fees of all the players including Digvesh Rathi were also deducted.
LSK captain Rishabh Pant and his team were fined for maintaining a slow over rate during the match against RCB. As this is Lucknow Super Giants' third offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, team captain Rishabh Pant has been fined Rs 30 lakh.
While the rest of the players and impact players who played in this match have been individually fined Rs 12 lakh or 50 per cent of their match fee (whichever is lower).
Rishabh Pant's personal performance was also not good in IPL 2025, he had scored only 151 runs in 13 innings played before the last match. In the last match, he played an unbeaten innings of 118 runs to take the team's score to 227. However, LSG lost even while defending this big score.
Rishabh Pant scored 269 runs in 14 matches of IPL 2025 at an average of 24.45, which is not right according to his price. He was bought by Lucknow for Rs 27 crore, it was expected that he would win the title for the team but his team was eliminated from the league stage itself.
