Healy suffered the injury during a practice session last Saturday. Team management has confirmed that she will not play in the next match and her fitness will be continuously monitored. It is hoped that she will be fit before the final league match against South Africa on October 25th. In Healy's absence, Tahlia McGrath will captain the team, while Beth Mooney will keep wickets. 22-year-old opener Georgia Voll is likely to get a chance in the top order.

Captain Healy in excellent form -

Healy has been in excellent form throughout the tournament. She has scored 294 runs in four matches, including two consecutive centuries. She scored her first century as captain (142 runs) against India, helping Australia complete the highest successful run chase in women's ODI cricket. She followed this up with an unbeaten 113 against Bangladesh, leading the team to a 10-wicket victory.

Although Australia has already qualified for the semi-finals, the team will want Healy to be fully fit and return to the knockout stage as soon as possible. Both England and Australia have qualified for the semi-finals, but the match on October 22nd will be crucial for the top spot in the standings.
