Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh is ready to spread his magic on the field once again. This time he will be part of the new Emirati franchise Aspin Stallions in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Harbhajan Singh is a legendary spinner and has taken 417 wickets in 103 Test matches for Team India. He also has 269 wickets in ODIs. He announced his retirement from all formats of cricket in 2021. Since then, he has been playing in franchise leagues around the world. This year, he was part of the India Champions team in the World Championship of Legends.
The team Harbhajan is associated with, Aspin Stallions, was launched by AMH Sports and is the UAE's first government-owned franchise. Aspin Stallions was created in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Tourism, and the Emirates Cricket Board. The team is owned by Ahmed Khouri. The T10 League has been running since 2017 and has completed eight seasons. Each match consists of 10 overs, and each match lasts approximately 90 minutes. The tournament is played in a round-robin format, followed by an eliminator and a final. The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially recognized the league as a semi-professional cricket tournament in 2018.
