Previously, the record for the highest rating points in the T20 batting rankings was held by England's Dawid Malan, who had achieved 919 rating points. He has also broken the records of Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli. Suryakumar Yadav had achieved a maximum of 912 rating points in his career, while Virat Kohli had reached 909 rating points.

Sanju Samson's short innings at crucial moments in the tournament have benefited him in the rankings. Among batsmen, he has jumped eight places to 31st. Shubman Gill remains in 32nd place.
