Zimbabwe announced squad for T20 series against Namibia: Zimbabwe Cricket on Monday confirmed that the senior men's team will take on Namibia in a three-match T20 International series at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo next week. The series will start on September 15 and the last match will be played on September 18. Zimbabwe and Namibia would like to finalize their preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2025 from this series.

The T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2025 will be held in Harare from 26 September to 4 October. During this time, there will be a battle between 8 teams. Also, the top-2 teams will confirm their place in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 to be held in India and Sri Lanka. Zimbabwe gave a tough fight to Sri Lanka in the recently played T20 series. However, Sri Lanka won the series 2-1. Zimbabwe will enter the Bulawayo series with the same team that was seen playing against Sri Lanka.

Zimbabwe head coach Justin Sammons said that this series gives his team a great opportunity to gain momentum before the qualifiers. Sammons said, "It is important that we build on the positives from the Sri Lanka series, and against Namibia we will get exactly the kind of competition we need before the qualifiers."
He said, "They are a great team that has performed consistently well in this format, so we will be expected to perform at our best in these matches. For us it is about improving our plans, making the right combination and ensuring that we enter the qualifiers with confidence and hard work."
