ICC announced match umpires for ICC Women's T20 World Cup: The ICC has announced the names of match officials for the Women's T20 World Cup to be held next month. All the match officials for this World Cup are women. It includes three referees and 10 umpires. From India, GS Lakshmi will be the match referee, while Vrinda Rathi will be in the role of umpiring. The Women's T20 World Cup will be held in the UAE from October 3 to 20.
ICC Senior Manager and Referee Shawn Ise said, 'The ICC takes pride in working for the upliftment of women in this game. The lineup of women only for the ICC Women's World Cup is fantastic. This group includes umpires who deserve this place. They have shown amazing game in the recent bilateral series. We are sure that they will do a great job. I congratulate them as well as wish them all the best.
Among them, Claire Polosak will umpire in the T20 World Cup for the fifth time, while Kim Cotton and Jacqueline Williams will take up the responsibility of umpire for the fourth time. Sue Redfern, who played the responsibility of TV umpire in the last final, will umpire in the mega event for the fourth time. Zimbabwe's Sarah Dambanewana will be the match official for the tournament for the first time. At the same time, India's experienced umpipe GS Lakshmi will also be seen. Lakshmi has 12 years of experience. She is the first Indian umpire to umpire in Tests. Apart from these, Shandre Fritz and Michelle Perera have been given the responsibility of match referee.

The tournament will begin with the Bangladesh vs Scotland match on October 3. The Indian team will start its campaign against New Zealand on October 4. In this match, Williams and England's Anna Harris will be the field umpires while Australia's Claire Polosak will play the role of TV umpire. Australia's Eloise Sheridan and South Africa's Lauren Agenbag have been appointed as field umpires for the India-Pakistan match. West Indies' Jacqueline Williams will be the TV umpire for this important match to be played at the Dubai International Stadium on October 6.
