Wills International Cup 1998: The first edition of the ICC tournament, now known as the Champions Trophy, was called the Wills International Cup. It was held in Bangladesh. The final was played between South Africa and West Indies, in which South Africa won by 4 wickets. West Indies scored 245 runs and South Africa scored 248/6 runs.

In 2002, the ICC named this tournament as Champions Trophy for the first time, which was held in Sri Lanka. The final match was to be played between India and Sri Lanka. But, the game was cancelled due to rain and the trophy was shared between India and Sri Lanka.

The fourth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy was held in England. The final match was played between hosts England and West Indies. England batted first and scored 217 runs, which West Indies achieved with 2 wickets remaining (West Indies- 218/8).
2006 Champions Trophy Winners: Australia

India was the host of Champions Trophy 2006. The final match was played between New Zealand and Australia. New Zealand batted first and scored 200 runs. Australia achieved this target easily and won by 6 wickets. New Zealand scored 200/9 and Australia scored 206/4.

The sixth edition of the Champions Trophy was held in South Africa. The final match was played between West Indies and Australia. Australia won the match by 8 wickets and captured the trophy for the second consecutive time. West Indies team scored 138 runs and Australia scored 116/2 runs.

The last edition of the ICC Champions Trophy was played in 2017. It was organized in England. The final match was played between Pakistan and India. In which Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs. Pakistan scored 338/4 runs while playing first. In reply, Team India could score only 158 runs.
