Sanju Samson got injured when the series was going on between India and England in February. In the last match of this series, a ball from Jofra Archer hit Sanju Sasman's finger. He was injured due to this. After this he had to undergo finger surgery. It was expected that he would recover soon. He had joined his team Rajasthan Royals for the IPL just two days ago. It has been learned that Sanju Samson will not be a part of the playing eleven in the first three matches. He will be seen playing as an impact player. According to the rules of IPL, an impact player cannot be the captain of the team, because he does not remain on the field during the entire match. Therefore, there is news of Riyan Parag being given the command of the team. That is, Sanju will be with the team and will also play, but neither will he be on the field with the team all the time nor will he captain.

Rajasthan Royals will play their first match in this year's IPL on the second day i.e. on 23rd March, when they will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad. This match will be in the day and will start at 3:30 pm. After this, the team will again take the field on 26th March, on that day it has a match with KKR, which will be in Guwahati. This match will start at 7:30 pm. Talking about the third match, the team will play against Chennai Super Kings on 30th March. This match is also in the evening and will be played in Guwahati.
