Royal Challengers Bangalore won the Women's Premier League 2024 title. And created history by winning it. Smriti Mandhana-led RCB defeated Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets with 3 balls to spare in the match played at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Delhi Capitals batted first and the entire team was all out for 113 runs in 18.3 overs. In reply, RCB achieved the target by losing two wickets in 19.3 overs. Smriti Mandhana's name was inscribed in golden letters in the history of RCB, who ended the 16-year drought and won the title for the franchise for the first time.

Most runs in WPL 2024

RCB's Ellyse Perry was the highest run scorer in WPL 2024. She scored 347 runs in 9 innings at an average of 69.4.

This season has been strong for DC's Meg Lanning as well. She scored 331 runs in 9 innings at an average of 36.77. Her partner Shafali Verma scored 309 runs.

RCB captain Smriti Mandhana scored 300 runs at an average of 30 and a strike rate of 133.92.

Most Wickets in WPL 2024

RCB's Shreyanka Patil took the most wickets in WPL 2024. The 21-year-old young bowler took 13 wickets in 8 innings at an average of 12.07. She played a key role in the victory by taking 4 wickets in the final.

Her fellow bowlers Asha Shobhana and Sophie Molineau took 12 wickets each.

UPW's Sophie Ecclestone, DC's Marizanne Kapp and Jis Johnson took 11 wickets each.

Best bowling performance in WPL 2024

Ellyse Perry gave the best bowling performance this season. She took 6 wickets for 15 runs in the match against MI. Apart from her, only RCB's Asha Shobhana (5/22) has managed to take a 5-wicket haul.

Highest team score in WPL 2024

The highest team score in WPL 2024 was in the name of Gujarat Giants (GG). This team captained by Mooney scored 199/5 against RCB in the 13th match of this season. GG won this match by 15 runs.

The lowest team score of this season is also in the name of GG. GG's team could only score 107/7 in the match against DC.

WPL 2024 Orange and Purple Cap Winners

Royal Challengers Bangalore's most experienced player Alice Perry captured the Orange Cap by scoring the most 347 runs in WPL 2024, while the Purple Cap was adorned on the head of the team's young player Shreyanka Patil. By taking 4 wickets in the final, Shreyanka Patil became the highest wicket-taker in the tournament. She took a total of 13 wickets in the WPL 2024 season. Both these RCB players also received a reward of Rs 5 lakh each along with the cap.
