Prior to this, he served as a net bowler for the Rajasthan Royals. In the 2022 IPL, the Kolkata Knight Riders acquired him for ₹55 lakhs, although he did not receive many opportunities to play. He joined RR in 2025, and subsequently, during the 2026 auction, the Gujarat Titans added him to their squad for ₹90 lakhs. Ashok made his IPL 2026 debut against Punjab Kings, where he clocked a speed of 149.7 km/h on his very first delivery. On the fourth ball of the 16th over, he bowled to Donovan Ferreira at a speed of 150.7 km/h.
