Defending champions India are determined to retain their Women's Asia Cup title. Their campaign to win the trophy once again will begin on July 19 with a match against arch-rivals Pakistan. India are the most successful team in the tournament, having won the title seven times in both ODI and T20 formats.
Harmanpreet Kaur's Indian team are the reigning Asian champions. The Blue Women's team has won the T20 tournament in 2012, 2016 and 2022. In 2018, Bangladesh defeated India in a thrilling encounter to become the second champion of the competition.
The Women's Asia Cup 2024 will see eight teams competing for the title, with two groups consisting of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will play the semi-finals followed by the final on July 28.
