The auction of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is going to happen soon. This time the auction of players will be held on 31st May and 1st June. For this, all the teams are busy in their preparations. This time a lot of changes are going to be seen in the teams during the auction. Many big changes can be seen. This season many big players are going to be bid on. The biggest question in the minds of the fans amidst the PKL auction is how much money any PKL team has in its purse for the auction.
The purse value of Pro Kabaddi teams depends on the players retained and released by them. The more and bigger players a team releases, the higher its purse value. On the other hand, the fewer players a team releases, the lower its purse value. What is the total purse value of Pro Kabaddi teams, through which they can buy players.
If we look at the auction of last season, last year the total purse value of each team was Rs 5 crore. In that, they bid for players during the auction according to the remaining purse value based on the released and retained players.
For example, if a player was bought for 2 crores in the last season and is not released this time, then that team will have only 3 crores left for the auction and if that player is released, then 2 crores will be free and after that he can spend money in the auction. Therefore, the purse value is calculated on the basis of retention and release of teams.
