
West Indies have announced their 15-member squad for the Under-19 World Cup, with top-order batsman Joshua Dorne named captain. All-rounder Jonathan Van Lange will be the vice-captain. The tournament will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia in January-February 2026. The West Indies squad also includes 19-year-old batsman Jewel Andrew, who has already played 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is for the senior national team.
Several players who featured in the Youth ODI series against Sri Lanka and England have been included in the West Indies Under-19 World Cup squad. Doren was the leading run-scorer in both series. Van Lang also performed impressively. Additionally, Zachary Carter, Matthew Miller, Jekim Pollard, Shaqwaan Bailey, and Vitel Lodge have also earned their places in the Under-19 World Cup team with their outstanding performances.
In the series against Sri Lanka and England, Jekim Pollard took 18 wickets at an average of 16.27, while Shaqwaan Bailey claimed 15 wickets. Vitel Lodge took 14 wickets in six matches against Sri Lanka.
