WI vs NEP 1st T20I highlights: The Nepal cricket team has finally written a golden chapter in its cricket history. Nepal registered a thrilling 19-run victory in the first T20I of the three-match series against the West Indies in Sharjah. This victory is also special because it marks Nepal's first international win against a Test-playing nation. Nepal achieved this historic feat after 180 international matches.

West Indies captain Akeal Hossain won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first. Batting first, Nepal scored 148 runs in 20 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel top-scored with 38 runs (35 balls, three fours, one six). Kushal Malla smashed 30 runs off 21 balls, hitting two brilliant sixes. Gulshan Jha played a quickfire innings of 22 runs. In the final overs, Nandan Yadav (seven runs, two balls) and Sompal Kami (six runs, five balls) helped the team reach a competitive total.

Chasing the target, West Indies got off to a poor start. Kyle Mayers (5) was run out, and from there, the match turned in Nepal's favor. The West Indies team continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Only Navin Bidaishi (22 runs) and captain Akeal Hossain (18 runs, nine balls, two sixes, one four) offered some resistance. Nepal's bowlers performed brilliantly. Kushal Bhurtel took two wickets and also made a run out. Nandan Yadav, Rohit Paudel, Lalit Rajvanshi, Karan KC and Dipendra Singh each took one wicket.
