Shubman Gill’s India played the third and final ODI against Australia on Saturday, October 25, at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Australia had already won the series by winning the first two ODIs, but India wanted to finish the series with a win.
Australia’s Batting Start
Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Their openers, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh, gave a good start. But Head was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj in the last over of the first powerplay, and Marsh got out in the 16th over, caught by Axar Patel.
Virat Kohli’s Brilliant Catch
Matthew Short and Matt Renshaw were batting well for Australia. In the 23rd over, Shubman Gill brought back Washington Sundar to bowl. Sundar bowled a slower ball outside off stump. Short tried to hit it with a pull shot but hit it straight to square leg.
