India began their ACC Mens U19 Asia Cup 2025 campaign in style, posting a massive 433/6 against UAE U19 at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai. The innings was powered by a sensational performance from young opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who displayed fearless batting and incredible maturity at just 14 years old.
Brilliant Century by Vaibhav Suryavanshi
Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a blistering 171 runs, reaching his century in just 56 balls, making it one of the fastest hundreds in U19 Asia Cup history. He started aggressively, hitting a boundary on his sixth delivery, and reached his fifty in only 30 balls. Throughout his innings, Vaibhav attacked every bowler, keeping India in a commanding position.
Despite the explosive innings, his celebration was modest - he simply lifted his bat and thanked the heavens, reflecting his focus and composure.

This was also his 2nd Youth ODI hundred of the year, marking him as one of the brightest young talents in Indian cricket.
Record-Breaking Feat
Vaibhav’s 171 runs moved him up the U19 scoring charts, just behind Ambati Rayudu’s unbeaten 177 against England U19 in 2002. His innings not only strengthened India’s position but also showcased his potential to become a future star.

On-Field Banter
The match also saw some fun and competitive banter. In the 32nd over, UAE left-arm spinner Uddish Suri was bowling when wicketkeeper Saleh Amin shouted, “Come on boys. 90's curse. 90's curse.” Vaibhav responded humorously with, “Tere saath selfie loon?” displaying his composure and self-assurance when sledging.
India Sets a Massive Target
Thanks to Vaibhav’s incredible knock, India finished with a massive total of 433/6, putting UAE U19 under huge pressure. India’s next match will be against arch-rivals Pakistan U19 on Sunday, promising another thrilling contest in the U19 Asia Cup 2025.
