On Sunday, October 5, India secured a commanding 88-run victory over Pakistan in the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 clash at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament. India posted a competitive total of 247 runs and never allowed Pakistan to mount a serious challenge, extending their unbeaten WODI streak against Pakistan to 12 matches.
Indian Batting Efforts
After Pakistan captain Fatima Sana elected to field first, India got off to a strong start with openers Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana putting up a 48-run partnership. Mandhana was dismissed for 23, trapped lbw by Sana, and Rawal scored a well-made 31 before falling to Sadia Iqbal.
Top scorer Harleen Deol contributed 46 runs off 65 balls with four boundaries and a six, while Jemimah Rodrigues added 32. Richa Ghosh's quickfire 35 not out off 20 balls helped India reach 247 all out in 50 overs despite Diana Baig taking four wickets for Pakistan.

Pakistan's Batting Collapse
Pakistan's chase started poorly as they lost early wickets, including Muneeba Ali, Sadaf Shamas, and Aliya Riaz cheaply. A 69-run stand between Sidra Amin (81 off 106 balls) and Natalia Pervaiz (33) helped keep Pakistan in the contest for some time. However, after Pervaiz's dismissal by Kranti Goud, India’s bowlers took control.
Spinners Deepti Sharma and Sneh Rana picked up crucial wickets to dismantle Pakistan’s middle and lower order. Pakistan was bowled out for 159 in 43 overs, handing India a comprehensive 88-run win. Kranti Goud was named Player of the Match for her impactful three-wicket haul.
