Watch India Women vs Australia Women highlights: The Indian women's team played their fourth match of the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 against Australia in Visakhapatnam today. After winning the toss, Australia captain Alyssa Healy elected to field first. Indian openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Raval shared a century partnership (155 runs) to provide a solid start.

All players continued to score runs, reaching 300 in the 43rd over. However, due to the excellent bowling and control of the Australian bowlers, India lost six wickets for just 30 runs after crossing the 300 mark. This was made possible by the excellent bowling of Annabel Sutherland. Sutherland took five valuable wickets, including Pratika, Jemima, and Richa Ghosh, conceding only 40 runs in her 9.5 overs.

Australia successfully chased down the target of 331 with six balls to spare. This is the highest run chase in women's ODI history.

Smriti Mandhana (80) and Pratibha Rawal (75) shared a 155-run partnership for the first wicket, laying a solid foundation for the team. Mandhana reached her half-century in 46 balls, becoming the fastest and youngest player to reach 5,000 runs in women's ODIs during the same innings. Rawal also reached her fifty in 69 balls. Mandhana accelerated the momentum by hitting 18 runs in the first over of spinner Sophie Molineux. Together, they recorded their sixth 100-run partnership.

However, India's momentum slowed after Mandhana's dismissal. Subsequently, Rawal, captain Harmanpreet Kaur, and Harleen Deol departed in quick succession, leaving the score at 240/4 in the 38th over. Finally, Richa Ghosh (28) and Jemimah Rodrigues (33) added 54 runs for the fifth wicket to take India past 300. Pacer Annabel Sutherland took five wickets, while Sophie Molineux took three, while Megan Schutt and Ashleigh Gardner each took one wicket.

Captain Alyssa Healy (142) led her team to a historic victory with a brilliant century. Healy attacked the Indian bowlers from the outset, smashing a six and three fours in an over off Kranti Gaud to change the course of the match. Healy reached her half-century in just 35 balls, the fastest fifty in the current World Cup. She then reached her sixth career century in just 84 balls. She returned to the pavilion after scoring 142 runs in 107 balls, including 21 fours and three sixes.

Shree Charani (10-1-41-3) bowled a brilliant spell for India, taking crucial wickets of Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland. At one point, Australia were 265 for three, but after Healy's dismissal (142), the score slumped to 303/7. Healy and Ashleigh Gardner (45) added 95 for the fourth wicket to bring the match back into Australia's grasp. Ellyse Perry (47 not out), who had earlier retired hurt, eventually returned to complete the winning innings.
