Chasing a massive target of 235 runs against Haryana, Yashasvi completed his blistering century in just 48 balls. Thanks to his innings, Mumbai successfully completed this historic run chase in just 17.3 overs, making it the second-highest successful run chase in SMAT history.

Yashasvi Jaiswal made it clear from the start of his innings that he was there to achieve the big target quickly.

  • Shower of fours: Yashasvi hit 16 magnificent fours in his 101-run innings, which shows that he scored more runs by keeping the ball on the ground and taking fewer risks.
  • A towering six: He also hit one six in his innings, which is a testament to his aggressive batting.
  • The century milestone: He completed his century in just 48 balls in his 50-ball innings and scored 101 runs, almost guaranteeing the team's victory.
  • Victory assured: By the time his wicket fell on the first ball of the 18th over, Mumbai's score had reached 228 runs, and victory was just a formality.

While chasing the huge target, Yashasvi received excellent support from fellow batsman Sarfaraz Khan.

After Rahane's dismissal, these two batsmen completely dominated the Haryana bowlers and forged a crucial partnership. Sarfaraz played a blistering innings of 64 runs off just 25 balls, including nine fours and three sixes. The 88-run partnership between the two ensured that Mumbai's run rate remained consistently high and the target could be easily achieved.
