South Africa Champions won the WCL Final by 9 wickets: In the final of the World Championship of Legends, South Africa defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets and won the title. In the final match, AB de Villiers' unbeaten 120-run match-winning innings was seen from the bat.
In the match, the South Africa Champions team got a target of 196 runs in 20 overs to win the title, which South Africa achieved in 16.5 overs at the loss of just one wicket. Pakistan missed out on winning the title for the second consecutive time.

To chase the target, the opening pair of AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla came on the field for South Africa. A quick partnership of 72 runs was seen between the two for the first wicket in 5.2 overs. Hashim Amla became the victim of Saeed Ajmal after playing an innings of 18 runs in 14 balls in this match.
JP Duminy, who came to bat after Amla was out, along with AB de Villiers did not give the Pakistani Champions team a chance to get any more wickets. While de Villiers was continuously scoring runs at a fast pace from one end, Duminy also used to send the bad ball across the boundary on the other side.
Together, the two gave victory to the South African Champions in 16.5 overs. Captain de Villiers completed his century in 47 balls and played an unbeaten innings of 120 runs facing 60 balls. de Villiers hit 12 fours and 7 sixes in his innings.

Earlier, Pakistan Champions batted brilliantly against South Africa Champions in the final of the World Championship of Legends 2025 at Edgbaston, scoring 195/5 in 20 overs.
Invited to bat, Pakistan lost the wicket of Kamran Akmal for just 2 runs, but Sharjeel Khan soon turned the match around with his quick innings. He played a brilliant innings of 76 runs off 44 balls with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes and dominated the middle overs. Mohammad Hafeez gave a good support by scoring 17 runs in 10 balls, but fell prey to Wayne Parnell in the sixth over.
Shoaib Malik held the innings in the middle order with 20 runs off 25 balls, but the scoring rate slowed down a bit before Umar Amin and Asif Ali's aggressive batting. Amin remained unbeaten on 36 runs off 19 balls with the help of two sixes while Asif Ali scored 28 runs off 15 balls with the help of two big sixes and a four.
