Virat Kohli is currently living in London with his family. Virat Kohli, who has retired from Tests and T20s, is now available only for ODIs and can play in the ODI series in the Australia tour in October-November. The report has been sent to the BCCI by the physio.

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has reportedly completed his fitness test in England, becoming the first among the current players to undergo a test on foreign soil.

Kohli, who was last seen during IPL 2025, may return to international cricket for the ODI series against Australia in October. His fitness test in England was conducted under the supervision of the BCCI, and according to reports, he had also secured the board's approval to conduct the test abroad.

Kohli gave his test in England, while other Indian players, including ODI captain Rohit Sharma, made their presence felt at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru to complete their fitness tests.

What is the reason behind Virat Kohli's Yo-Yo Test in England?: Except Virat, no other player has been tested outside India. When a BCCI official was asked about this, he said that he must have definitely taken permission for this. However, the question arises whether any other player can get his test done abroad?

Kohli, who has already retired from Tests and T20Is, is fully committed to the 50-over format, and aims to play the 2027 ODI World Cup before retiring from international cricket.

The report also states that Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Akashdeep and Nitish Kumar Reddy will undergo their fitness tests in September. According to Dainik Jagran, players who could not participate in the first Test due to injury or illness will also take the test with them.

Given the long injured list of the men's national team, the BCCI and the team management have become even more serious about fitness. The board has now made it mandatory for every cricketer to undergo a fitness test before being selected in any team.

Members of India's T20I squad are set to fly to the UAE soon for the Asia Cup 2025. Kohli is not a part of the Indian team for the Asia Cup, which will be held in T20 format this time, as he has retired from the shortest format of the game.
