Will Jacks smashed a spectacular century, and Virat Kohli improved his middle-overs performance as Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by nine wickets in the IPL on Sunday. Kohli, whose middle-overs technique had been questioned in the previous game, used the sweep shot against the spinners to make a statement before Jacks cut loose to reach the 201-run mark with 24 balls remaining.
Jacks went crazy in what turned out to be the game's last over, hitting as much as four sixes and four off Rashid Khan to end the game considerably sooner than planned. In his astonishing performance, the Englishman scored up to ten sixes.
When Shahrukh Khan came into bat, he took full advantage of his promotion in the batting order, while Sai Sudharsan remained till the end to lead Gujarat Titans to 200 for three.
