He had scored a century off 27 balls against Cyprus earlier this year. Surprisingly, Urvil Patel was not bought by anyone in the IPL Mega Auction 2025.
Urvit Patel hit seven fours and 12 sixes to complete his century. He remained unbeaten on 113 off 35 balls. Thanks to his innings, Gujarat scored 156 runs in 20 overs. Opening the innings with Arya Desai, 26-year-old Urvil impressed everyone with his explosive batting. He broke the record of India's star batsman Rishabh Pant with his innings. Pant was bought by Lucknow Super Giants in the mega auction for a record Rs 27 crore. He became the most expensive player in IPL history.
