As the Indian Premier League (IPL) heads towards its 2025 season, the excitement around player retention and auctions is at its peak. With a new three-year cycle ahead and teams strategically planning, each of the 10 franchises have announced their list of retained players, leaving some big names like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer available for the upcoming mega auction. 2. Virat Kohli – 21 crore (Royal Challengers Bangalore)

The leading run-scorer in IPL history and one of the most consistent players in the league, Kohli is not only the backbone of RCB but also one of the biggest attractions of the tournament. 3. Nicholas Pooran – 21 crore (Lucknow Super Giants)
