Abhishek Sharma holds the record for the second-fastest half-century for India in T20Is, which he scored against New Zealand in 2026. Chasing a target of 154 runs, Abhishek smashed a brilliant half-century in just 14 balls, completing his ninth T20I fifty in record time. His innings included five fours and four sixes. Thanks to his explosive batting, India chased down the target of 154 runs within 10 overs.
1. Yuvraj Singh – 12 balls vs England, 2007
Yuvraj Singh holds the record for the fastest fifty in T20I cricket by an Indian batsman and a batsman from a full member nation. He achieved this historic feat against England in the 2007 T20 World Cup. Yuvraj came to bat in the 17th over and immediately launched an attack on the English bowlers. In the 19th over of the innings, he became the first batsman to hit six sixes in a single T20I over, off the bowling of Stuart Broad, and completed his half-century in just 12 balls. He scored 58 runs off 16 balls, taking India's total to 218. India went on to win the match by 18 runs.
