This year he scored an incredible century against England and it is the first century scored by a Sri Lankan opener in England since 2011. Playing an ODI against Afghanistan, he scored a double century and became the first Sri Lankan batsman to do so. With 4 centuries, 9 half-centuries and a solid average of 44.63, he really dominated this year.
Harry Brook has shown his extraordinary talent and brilliant batting in 2024. Playing 27 matches, Brook scored 1575 runs. He surprised the cricket world by scoring 317 runs in just 322 balls. With 5 centuries and 6 half-centuries this year, he ended the year with a brilliant batting average of 58.33 and thus became the fourth highest run scorer of the year.
Joe Root scored 1556 runs in 17 matches in 2024, including 6 centuries and 5 half-centuries. One of his finest moments was a brilliant innings of 262 runs against Pakistan in October 2024. Root secured his place in this prestigious list with an impressive batting average of 55.57 this year.
